Carlos Prieto is a visiting PhD candidate from the University of Salamanca working in process design and optimization. He is particularly focused in the field of renewable energy generation and energy storage systems in the form of chemicals (Power to X) and applies different optimization techniques to favor decarbonization. He has completed his MEng studies in Chemical Engineering in the University of Salamanca and has also worked as a consultant in the industry.
