Buse is a PhD candidate with research focus on improving capabilities of multi-modal AI models to have comprehensive understanding of scientific documents such as conference papers. She is also interested in factuality and fairness in large models such as LLMs. Before her PhD, she was an undergraduate student at Istanbul Technical University studying a double major in Computer Engineering and Industrial Engineering. Upon her graduation, she worked in the industry as a management consultant and a machine learning engineer.
